José Martí MAST

Native Arboretum

Progress!  But much more work to accomplish...

Native Grasses to plant, monitor, record, and harvest (seeds).

Initial Planting, May 2012

Maintenance, Sept 24 and Oct 4, 2012

Charles and Brandon planted a “rescued” green buttonwood in the northwest corner of the native forest on October 29, 2012

Formerly José Martí MAST “Native Forest” - and maybe one day it will again be known as a forest.

(By definition, a “forest” has more than 50% coverage by the tree canopy.)
