Homework is a very special part of your child's day.  Each Monday, a homework packet will come home with your child. The homework packet is due back in school the following Monday. The directions are on the cover page, as well as a place for you to indicate that you have seen and checked each day's assignment. Below is a list of things you can do to assist your child during homework.

bullet

Provide an undisturbed place for your child to complete his/her homework.

bullet

Read the parent directions and make sure your child understands what to do.

bullet

Let your child complete his/her homework independently.

bullet

When he/she is finished, check the completed work and sign in the appropriate homework box.

bullet

Let your child know that you expect quality work at all times.

bullet

Read to your child each day, and log the book titles on the back of the homework cover page.

bullet

If your child reads at least seven books a week, he will earn a "Bookworm!"
