Snack
Snack time is an important part of our day. It is usually
mid-morning and lasts for 10-15 minutes. It is a working
snack, meaning students will work while snacking.
This snack will not be a break time, and will not interrupt
instructional time.
It is very
important that children are provided with healthy foods for their
snacks.
I have compiled a list of suggestions to help you with ideas. If you
have a great snack idea,
please email me with it so I may add it to this
list!
When
preparing a snack for your child please follow the suggestions below.
1. If you send a drink, it must be water.
2. Make snacks 'finger foods.' No snacks that the child must
put together such as lunchables.
3. Please send healthy snacks that do not contain a
lot of sugar. NO CHOCOLATE PLEASE.
4. Please do not send messy snacks that will spill or
smear. (no canned fruit cups please)
5. No greasy potato chips. (Pringles are OK)
