Template (Download Here)

E-journal questions, quotes, videos, and various web links are used to allow students to think about issues and topics that happen in the world around us. Sometimes they may be related to the current project or about a general event. All responses must be completely written out in your own words and at least a paragraph in length (4-5 statements). There are no exceptions, otherwise it will not be graded. You may use the class website to also download the template if needed. The website is http://teachers.dadeschools.net/mpate/downloads.html.

Directions: Please take a few minutes and watch the video above on the upcoming trend of artificial intelligence in our world. In 1 Paragraph for Level 1 and 2 Paragraphs for Level 2-4, explain in your opinion how do you think this technology will eventually effect your life and to what extent would you allow this form of technology to replace human interaction.

E-Journal Week 1 Week of 9/1/15 (All Groups)

Video Reflection - (Please copy this into the template downloaded from above.)

E-Journal Entry 2 - 9/4/15

Video Reflection - (Please copy this into the template downloaded from above.)

After seeing the AI robot named Phil, how do you feel about his responses to some of the questions? Although he is a few years old as far as technology is concerned, he is thinking on his own it seems. Should these robot types be created to look human or should they look machine like? If this technology were to continue to be produced, what kind of droid would you like? Explain...

E-Journal Entry 3 - 9/9/15

Video Reflection - (Please copy this into the template downloaded from above.)

Once you have watched the film on this small robot that can ride a bike, what would happen if a much larger version were created? What could it be used for? How did the inventor get the robot to balance itself on the bike? What features did the robot have that resemble how humans ride a real bike? Explain...
