You  will design a color lapel pin that can be used to promote
the state TSA association for pin trading at the national TSA conference.

Show me three sketches before you begin in Photoshop:

File Size: 10 inches x 10 inches

Resolution: 300

Mode: RGB

Read below for design criteria

http://www.tsaweb.org/sites/default/files/TSA_Logo_4c%20no%20white%20copy.jpg

You must think of a SHAPE for  the pin.  Think of the  metal pins they use for the olympics.

Will yours be a square pin? a round pin? will it have a special shape?

The pin must include :

The official TSA logo letters (just the TSA part) use the logo above

It  must also include the shape and/or name of the state
association- FLORIDA

For your graphics, think of images that represent TSA and think of images that represent Florida.

Use the threshold filter and then colorize to make your images solid colors. There can be no shading.

Remember simplicity and larger size for text and images is recommended

because of the final size of the pin. (max 2" x 2")

The actual pin size may range from 3/4” to 2” (length and width). The size and
number of letters in the design should be taken into consideration.  Fewer
letters and greater size is recommended

The design may be presented either in portrait or landscape layout.

The design must be a color computer-generated design that is printed on 8.5” x 11”photo or card stock

paper that is mounted on mat or poster board of the same size.

The design must be shown in both: actual size and in an enlarged version to show detail.

Judging Criteria:
Designs will be evaluated for creativity and effectiveness to communicate a
message, neatness, and technical quality using the following rubric:

– Inspiration for graphic design, design process, and relevance
– First impression of graphic, graphic appropriateness, dominance,
balance and proportion, and incorporation of graphic design principles.
