What is Color Guard?

Color Guard is also part of the Drill Team. The Color Guard presents the "Colors" (The American Flag, and the Florida Flag) at events, ceremonies, and competitions. At these events, only four people run the Color Guard. There are two cadets who carry the two flags, and two cadets carrying M1903 Springfield rifles to "Guard" the flags, on either side. Color Guard is most strict about bearing (Being able to keep a fixed posture and serious face), preciseness, and synchronization. It is a procedure that only the best are allowed to do. As a part of the Drill Team, 1SG Massie will inspect those who train to do a Color Guard drill. There can be more than four cadets on the team, but only four will be chosen each time for an event.
